COSRX RED RICE INOSITOL Pore Clarifying Deep Cleanser

I’ve been using the COSRX Red Rice Inositol Pore Clarifying Deep Cleanser for a while now, and I’m still undecided on whether it will stay in my routine. Every so often, my skin looks a bit red right after washing, but interestingly, I haven’t had a single breakout from it. That alone makes me want to keep testing it.

One thing I absolutely love is that I haven’t seen any blackheads in weeks - which is surprising because the current weather is usually a guaranteed trigger for me. The clarifying effect is definitely real. Plus, my skin never feels dry or tight afterward, which is a huge bonus for a deep‑clean type cleanser.

The packaging, however, could use some improvement. The heart‑shaped opening is cute, but I’m not convinced it’s necessary. I’m more concerned about how sanitary it is and would prefer a smaller, simpler opening. I’m also not sure if my bottle was just faulty, but it doesn’t close completely unless I press very hard. I like my products to seal tightly, so this was a bit disappointing.

Overall, the cleanser performs well - especially for pore care - but I’m still monitoring how my sensitive skin reacts long‑term. With better packaging, this could easily become a staple.

I really like this as a cleanser, but I haven’t tried it as a mask yet, I’ll do that next. I was so tired last night, I completely forgot to do the first step of my double cleanse and went right in with this cleanser. I was like, oh this is gonna be a mess when I realized what I’d done haha. But it took all my makeup off and left my face really soft. Love this!
